Lufkin, TX – Crash On Highway 69 Results In Injuries
Lufkin, TX (July 3, 2019) – On July 3, at approximately 7:40 a.m., police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 69 near Briar Village/Holmes Road.
According to reports, a loaded log truck was involved in a collision along the roadway. Reports from law enforcement indicate that 61-year-old Charles Evans was traveling south along Highway 69 in a 2003 Peterbilt semi-truck when he changed lanes at an unsafe speed. As Evans entered into the other lane, his vehicle collided with a 2017 Dodge, which was driven by 47-year-old Melody Wallace.
The impact of the collision caused Wallace to sustain injuries. Wallace was transported to a Lufkin Hospital for treatment.
