Houston, TX – Truck Driver Dies After Falling over Ship Channel Bridge on 610 Loop

Houston, TX (July 4, 2019) – A truck driver has been reported dead after falling over the side of the Ship Channel Bridge in Houston after attempting to avoid a car that cut off the 18 wheeler. The accident happened on Wednesday, July 3rd, around 8:30 a.m. at the 400 block of Concrete St. 

The accident resulted in the truck driver 150 feet to the ground. The driver was pinned inside the 18-wheeler as fire crews attempted to free him from the vehicle. After being extracted from the semi, the driver was taken to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. 

The driver of the car that cut off the semi remained at the scene along with another witness.

The identity of the truck driver was not revealed.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
