Odessa, TX – UPDATE: Angelica Garcia Arrested For Deadly Crash On I-20

Odessa, TX (July 5, 2019) – Police have taken a woman into custody for her alleged involvement in a crash that took the lives of two young children on Wednesday, July 3rd. The collision took place in the late evening at 10:00 p.m. on Interstate 20 near Club Dr. 

The initial investigation reported that the suspect, Angelica Garcia, was driving a Chrysler 200 when she traveled through a barricade on the northbound service road of the highway. She struck two young girls in the process. 

The two girls were transported to Medical Center Hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.

Garcia was said to be intoxicated at the time of the crash and was charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter.

The accident is still under investigation at this time.
