Pont Venture, TX – 3 Injured In Boat Accident Near Point Venture

Pont Venture, TX (July 5, 2019) – Austin-Travis County EMS has reported that three have been injured in a boating accident that happened on Thursday, July 4th. The incident took place in the late evening around 10:30 p.m. near Point Venture on Lake Travis. 

Two Texas Game Wardens along with an intern were patrolling the waters in a when they were hit by a 29-foot Formula runabout close to mile marker 16.  

The three passengers in the patrol boat sustained injuries in the collision. 

The individual operating the other boat involved was arrested for operating the vessel under the influence of alcohol.

The crash is currently being investigated by authorities.
