Dallas, TX – Car Accident on Royal Lane Leaves One Dead and One Injured

Dallas, TX (July 6, 2019) – A car accident early Thursday morning left one dead and another person in critical condition.

The driver of a stolen vehicle reportedly ran a red light, which led to the crash at 2:15 a.m. on Skillman Street and Royal Lane.

According to the Dallas Police Department, a white Dodge Charger was traveling eastbound on Royal Lane as a black Nissan Altima was traveling southbound on Skillman Street. The two vehicles collided after the driver of the Altima ran a red light, and both the driver and front passenger of the Altima were ejected from the car.

They were taken to a local hospital, where the driver was later pronounced dead and the passenger remained in critical condition.

Police later found that the Altima was reported stolen in Mesquite, but the driver of the stolen vehicle and the passenger have not been identified.

The driver of the Charger was also transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
