Odessa, TX – UPDATE: 2 Victims ID’d In Deadly Pedestrian Crash On I-20

Odessa, TX (July 8, 2019) – A local media source has identified the two 6-year-old twin girls who were killed after a fatal auto-pedestrian collision on I-20 at Club Dr. The accident happened on Wednesday, July 3rd, in Odessa. 

The two tragic victims were identified as Mia and Mya Coy of Odessa. 

Police reports indicate that the young girls were standing next to their parent’s fireworks stand on I-37 when they were struck by a grey Chrysler 200 driven by 36-year-old Angelica Garcia of Midland.

Both girls sustained fatal injuries in the crash. They were taken to Medical Center Hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries. 

Garcia was taken into custody by local police under charges of intoxication manslaughter.

The collision is currently being investigated by local police.
