Houston, TX – Victim In Deadly Pedestrian Crash At Macroplaza Mall Identified

Houston, TX (July 9, 2019) – Police have identified the victim of a pedestrian collision that resulted in their death in Houston. The crash happened in the parking lot of the Macroplaza Mall on Monday, July 8th, at around 11:00 a.m. 

The deceased has been identified as former Pasadena councilwoman Pat Riley. Riley was struck by a white Chevrolet truck while leaving Palais Royal. She was reportedly walking in a crosswalk at the time of the collision. The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. 

Riley had to be airlifted to a hospital for severe injuries. She was later pronounced dead at the medical facility. 

Riley was a respected member of the local community and she will be missed dearly. 

The crash is currently under investigation at this time.
