Port Arthur, TX – Collision Between Motorcycle & Semi Leaves One Critically Injured On FM 365

Port Arthur, TX (July 9, 2019) –  A man was critically injured after being involved in a motorcycle accident in Port Arthur. The crash took place on Monday, July 8th, around 2:00 p.m. The collision occurred at the intersection of FM 365 and W. Port Arthur Rd.

The deceased has been identified as 51-year-old Glen Patrick Klima of Port Arthur. He was traveling westbound on FM 365 on a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle at a dangerous rate of speed. At the same time, a semi-truck was driving westbound on West Port Arthur Rd, in the opposite direction of Klima.

Klima struck the 18-wheeler on it’s trailer as it entered the intersection. He was transported to St. Elizabeth hospital for treatment of severe injuries sustained in the accident. Klima was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash, according to emergency responders. 

The driver of the semi was uninjured.

No other details of the incident were released. The crash is currently under investigation at this time.
