Parmer County, TX – Socorro Gallego Killed In US 60 Crash

Parmer County, TX (July 15, 2019) – On Saturday, July 13, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on US 60 just after 4 a.m.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Toyota Camry was traveling west along the highway when the driver attempted to make a left turn into the Cargill Meat Solutions. While turning, the vehicle was struck by an eastbound bus.

The driver of the Toyota, who was later identified as 48-year-old Socorro Gallego, was transported to Parmer Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Eight victims on the bus were injured and provided medical attention at the scene of the incident.
