Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Accidents in Texas
About 500 motorcyclists sustained fatal injuries after being hit by vehicles throughout Texas. When drivers hit motorcyclists and then proceed to drive off without helping them, it’s often because they are afraid of going to jail, paying fines, or they’re driving drunk on the roads. In fact, statistics indicate that drunk drivers are often on the highways on weekends between the hours of midnight and 6:00 a.m. Sadly, drunk drivers may not even be aware that they crashed into someone, or if they are, they’re unable to control their bodies enough to stop their vehicles.
