Temple, TX – 2 Injured in 8-Vehicle Accidents on I-35

Temple, TX (July 21, 2019) On the afternoon of July 21st, an eight-vehicle accident happened on Interstate 35, close to exit 301. Eight vehicles, including two semi-trucks, crashed into each other for unknown reasons on the highway. One of the semi-trucks caught on fire following the collision. Part of the center wall dividing the lanes also sustained damages.  The accident happened at around 1:40 p.m.

When the paramedics, police, and fire department arrived at the crash site, they found a total of fourteen people involved in the collision. Two of them sustained injuries serious enough to require them to be rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. Crews had to shut down all of the lanes of the interstate while they worked to stop the fire and remove all of the damaged vehicles.

An ongoing investigation is still taking place to determine what caused the collision and who will be held responsible.

Our thoughts are with everyone involved, especially the two people that sustained injuries.
