San Antonio, TX – Kinder Parkway Fatal Accident Victim Identified

San Antonio, TX (July 24, 2019) – Just before 10 a.m. on Monday, July 22, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office reported to the scene of a workplace accident at the new Comal ISD high school site located in the 1000 block of Kinder Parkway.

According to reports, a construction worker was utilizing a crane at the location when the machine flipped over and landed on top of him. The worker, who was later identified as 36-year-old Christopher Vest, was pinned under the machine for a short period.

Crews were able to get the machine off Mr. Vest, but found that he sustained injuries that were far too extensive.

Vest was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding crews.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Christopher Vest.  Our thoughts are with them at this time.
