Panola County, TX – Victims Of US Highway 79 Crash Identified
Panola County, TX (July 25, 2019) – On July 23, around 9:30 a.m., emergency crews and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 79.
According to reports, 75-year-old William Oldfield was driving a Dodge Ram while towing a trailer north on US 79. Oldfield attempted to pass a tractor-trailer in the roadway and collided with a Dodge Durango, which was driven by 34-year-old Jaimiee Bowen, head-on.
Both drivers, as well as 34-year-old Robert Harthcock, who was a passenger in the Durango, sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
