Houston, TX – Crash On North Freeway Feeder Results In Injuries
Houston, TX (July 29, 2019) – At approximately 1:30 a.m., on July 29, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on the North Freeway feeder road near Gulf Bank.
According to reports, several witnesses saw two vehicles speeding in excess of 100-MPH down the freeway while engaging in an illegal street race. Police engaged in a pursuit, but the driver refused to stop. After a short distance, the driver attempted to make a turn but struck a curb in the process. The vehicle then bounced off the curb and clipped the rear end of a garbage truck before crashing into a tree.
The driver and one passenger were both injured and provided medical attention. No one inside the garbage truck was injured.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
