Smith County, TX – Victims Killed In Interstate 20 Crash Identified

Smith County, TX (July 31, 2019) – On July 28, at approximately 7:10 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 20 near Winona.

According to reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety, 21-year-old Ross Tyler Campbell was traveling east on Interstate 20 in a 2014 Ford F-150 when he failed to notice the traffic slowing down ahead. As a result, his vehicle collided with a 2019 Chevrolet TRAX, which was driven by 44-year-old Dale John Bellard Jr.

The impact of the collision caused the Chevrolet to crash into the rear end of a 2013 Audi 6PL, which was driven by 51-year-old Donald Edward Tiller.

A passenger in the Chevrolet, who was identified as Quondaila Bellard, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Elyssa Bellard, who was also inside the Chevrolet, was transported to an area hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Bellard Jr. was also injured in the collision and transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Our thoughts are with Dale John Bellard Jr. and his family at this time.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the families of Elyssa Bellard and Quondaila Bellard.  Our thoughts are with them at this time.
