Houston, TX – John Andrew Satterwhite Killed In Work Accident At Wisdom High School

Houston, TX (August 1, 2019) – On July 29, the Houston Police Department and emergency crews reported to the scene of a workplace accident outside of the Wisdom High School, which is located in the 6500 block of Beverly Hill Street.

According to reports, a team of field workers was fertilizing the grounds of the high school with a hydro-seeding spreader truck. As one of the workers opened the rear hatch of the truck, the worker was overcome by fumes. The man collapsed into the truck.

A second worker tried to rescue the fallen worker by getting him out of the truck but, unfortunately, he was overcome by fumes himself. The second worker collapsed into the truck on top of the first man.

Another nearby worker noticed what was happening and called emergency crews for help.

The Houston Fire Department confirmed that one of the fallen workers was 42-year-old John Andrew Satterwhite.

At this time, an investigation is underway to determine what caused the two workers to suffer instant fatal injuries from inhalation.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the families of John Andrew Satterwhite and the second victim who lost their life in this accident. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
