Weatherford, TX – 3-Year-Old Drowns On Sandpiper Drive
Weatherford, TX (August 1, 2019) – On July 31, at approximately 8:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to the scene of a drowning incident in the 1800 block of Sandpiper Drive.
Reports from the police state that the 3-year-old victim was directed to stay in a certain area of the back yard while an adult went inside for a brief moment. When the adult returned to the yard, they noticed the child entered into the pool.
The homeowner removed the child from the pool and called for emergency services. The adult began to perform CPR on the young child, who was identified as 3-year-old Rhoman Xavier Quintero.
Quintero was transported to Medical City Weatherford Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
