Austin, TX – Black Male Killed In Interstate 35 Pedestrian Accident

Austin, TX (August 2, 2019) – On July 27, at approximately 1:40 a.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident in the 8200 block of North Interstate Highway 35 Southbound.

According to reports, a black male was attempting to cross the roadway when he was struck by a 2016 Kenworth tractor-trailer in the middle lane.

The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene and was fully cooperative with law enforcement officers.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation by the Austin Police Department’s Vehicular homicide unit.
