Austin, TX – Felix Ybarra Killed In Congress Avenue Pedestrian Accident

Austin, TX (August 2, 2019) – On July 25, just after 10:30 p.m., Austin Police and emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 5700 block of South Congress Avenue.

According to reports, 56-year-old Felix Ybarra was crossing the roadway when he was struck by a maroon 2013 Kia Sorrento. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.

Ybarra was transported to Saint David’s South Austin Medical Center in serious condition.

Authorities confirmed that Ybarra succumbed to his injuries in the hospital on July 30.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
