Amarillo, TX – Warren Jay Slaton Killed In Tyson Foods Accident On FM1912

Amarillo, TX (August 6, 2019) – Shortly before 9 p.m. on August 2, the Potter County Sheriff’s Office was called to the Tyson Foods plant located at 5000 Farm to Market Road 1912.

Reports from authorities indicate that 34-year-old Warren Jay Slaton was working on line equipment at the plant when he became pinned between several loaded pallets.

Slaton sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is conducting an investigation surrounding the incident.
