Godley, TX – Victims Killed In TX-171 Crash Identified By Police

Godley, TX (August 7, 2019) – At approximately 9:30 p.m., police and emergency crews were called to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Texas Highway 171.

According to reports, a blue GMC pickup truck was traveling along the highway when it crossed over the center lines in the 11300 block. The GMC pickup collided head-on with a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The driver of the GMC, identified as 34-year-old Ricky Cook, and the driver of the Dodge Ram, identified as 17-year-old Zane Gregg, both sustained fatal injuries in the incident and were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Alcohol was determined to be a factor in this collision.
