Lubbock, TX – Wayne Woodcock ID’d As Marsha Sharp Fwy Victim
Lubbock, TX (August 9, 2019) – At approximately 1:13 p.m. on August 8, the Lubbock Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 4400 block of the Marsha Sharp Freeway.
Reports from the scene indicate that 57-year-old Wayne Woodcock was crossing the roadway near the intersection of Marsha Sharp Fwy and Quaker Avenue when he was struck by a 2019 Cadillac Escalade, which was turning at the intersection.
Woodcock sustained serious injuries and was transported to UMC. The Lubbock Police Department confirmed that Woodcock succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
