Train Accidents in Texas
According to the US Department of Transportation, about 600 people lose their lives every year in the United States after being involved in train accidents. Studies also show that the most common cause of train accidents are broken rails and welding. Unfortunately, those hit by trains have a small percentage of surviving due to the high speed that trains travel, as well as the impact that results from their heavy weight. Since there is no way for pedestrians to protect their bones, internal organs, and brains from the impact of train accidents, they are more likely to sustain fatal injuries.
