Houston, TX – 3 Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision on SW Fwy
Houston, TX (August 11, 2019) On the morning of August 11th, a two-vehicle collision occurred on the Southwest Freeway on the feeder road at Bellerive. A black Tahoe crashed into a silver pickup truck on the feeder road at Bellerive. The impact of the collision caused the Tahoe to roll over, which caused two people to eject out of the vehicle during the process. The accident happened at around 1:00 a.m.
When the paramedics arrived, they found three people seriously injured. One of the injured victims was trapped inside of the Tahoe. By the time emergency crews extricated the victim, they had already suffered fatal injuries. The two other victims were rushed to the closet hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries. The pickup truck driver did not sustain injuries in the collision.
Authorities are still investigating, but they believe speed was a contributing factor.
Our thoughts are with the families of the three deceased victims.
Car Accidents in Texas
Studies have revealed that speed is the leading factor of almost every collision in Texas. When drivers are speeding in the middle of the night, it’s likely because they’re under the influence, which often occurs on weekends. Drivers under the influence almost always disobey traffic laws and are unaware of how fast they’re traveling.
