Irving, TX – Victim Of Dog Attack On E Third St Succumbs To Injuries

Irving, TX (August 12, 2019) – On August 10, at approximately 4:45 a.m., the Irving Police Department responded to a dog attack in the 800 block of East Third Street.

Reports from police indicate that a 16-year-old male jumped over the fence to a yard along the roadway. Upon entering the yard, the teen was attacked by three dogs.

Officers arrived at the scene during the attack and attempted to get the dogs off the teen. During their attempts, the dogs started to attack the officers.

One officer was injured and provided medical treatment at the scene of the incident.

The 16-year-old male was transported to Parkland hospital in critical condition. Authorities confirmed that the teen later succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
