Kemp, TX – John & Mildred Hitchcock Killed In Fire On Quail Run Court

Kemp, TX (August 12, 2019) – On Saturday, August 10, several crews from the Henderson County Fire Department and other locales responded to the scene of a fire incident at 701 Quail Run Court.

Reports from responding officers indicate that a fire broke out, for unknown reasons, at a home in the area just before 9:30 p.m.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire but were unable to save the residents of the home. A short time after putting out the fire, the bodies of 82-year-old John Hitchcock and 81-year-old Mildred Hitchcock were located in the home.

Two other individuals, a Trinidad Firefighter and a Police Officer from Seven Points, incurred injuries in the incident and were provided medical treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
