Smith County, TX – Fire On County Road 220 Results In Fatal Injuries

Smith County, TX (August 12, 2019) – On August 12, multiple fire units and emergency medical service crews responded to the scene of a fire in the 13800 block of County Road 220.

Fire crews arrived at the scene shortly after receiving notice of the fire. Crews worked diligently to put out the fire before discovering an unresponsive male on the scene.

Emergency crews performed CPR on the male before transporting to him an area hospital. Unfortunately, the man was later pronounced deceased due to his injuries.

Two other people on-site were injured and transported to area hospitals for treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
