West Lake Hills, TX – Firefighter Injured Battling Blaze On Buckeye Trail

West Lake Hills, TX (August 12, 2019) – On August 11, around 7 a.m., Firefights from the Westlake Fire Department, Austin Fire Department, Oak Hill, and CE-Bar responded to the scene of a 3-alarm fire in the 500 block of Buckeye Trail.

Crews worked on the fire for over an hour, recognizing the heavy fire conditions that spread through the attic of the home from the back deck.

As crews battled the fiery blaze, one firefighter from Austin incurred unspecified injuries. The Firefighter was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

Crews worked diligently to get the blaze under control before finally extinguishing it. The fire is expected to result in a complete loss of the property.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation as crews work to determine the cause of the fire.
