Corpus Christi, TX – 1 Killed In Motorcycle Accident On Crosstown Expressway

Corpus Christi, TX (August 17, 2019) On the evening of August 16th, a fatal motorcycle accident happened on Crosstown Expressway, close to the Horne exit. A vehicle struck a motorcyclist on the Expressway right before 10:00 p.m. The impact of the accident caused the rider to eject from his motorcycle and onto the road.

When the paramedics arrived, they found the motorcyclist critically injured in the roadway. Despite immediate on-site care, the motorcyclist did not survive his injuries.

The police are still investigating the accident to determine causation and liability. So far, they don’t believe alcohol was a contributing factor.

Our thoughts are with the deceased motorcyclist’s family as they grieve.

Motorcycle Accidents in Texas

Corpus Christi, TX – 1 Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Crosstown ExpresswayStudies show that 16 percent of all traffic accident fatalities involve motorcyclists. In 2013, almost 500 motorcyclists were killed on Texas roads. Sadly, motorcyclists are more likely to sustain more critical injuries since their bodies are exposed to external factors, such as larger and more powerful vehicles. Because motorcyclists only wear helmets, they’re likely to suffer from spinal cord injuries, broken bones, internal organ injuries, road rash, and more. Family members who have lost loved ones in motorcycle accidents should immediately contact a wrongful death lawyer for legal assistance.
