Round Rock, TX (August 18, 2019) On the evening of August 16th, a senior citizen apartment building caught on fire at around 6:40 p.m. The fire erupted because of an air condition unit on the roof of the apartment complex. The staff immediately contacted firefighters in Round Rock to have them assist at The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living on Oakmont Drive.
When the fire department and paramedics arrived, they helped 50 residents evacuate the building, along with 12 staff members. One of the residents suffered from respiratory issues and was immediately rushed to the closest hospital for assistance.
The accident is still being investigated by authorities at this time.
Our thoughts are with all of the residents and staff at this time, especially the resident who was taken to the hospital.
