Houston, TX – UPDATE: Enrique Vazquez ID’d As Victim Of Beverly Hill Street Crash

 Houston, TX (August 21, 2019) – At approximately 4:20 p.m. on August 15, the Houston Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident near 6061 Beverly Hill Street.

Reports from the Houston Police Department indicate that a male was walking his dogs in the area near Fountain View when he was struck by a motor vehicle. The man, who was later identified as 47-year-old Enrique Vazquez, and one of his dogs were killed in the collision.

The driver of the vehicle was found to be a 12-year-old girl. At the scene of the incident, the 12-year-old indicated that her father allowed her to drive as part of a driving lesson.

The father, who was identified as Tomas Mejia, was subsequently arrested for criminally negligent homicide.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
