Amarillo, TX – East Amarillo Blvd Pedestrian Accident Results In Fatal Injuries

Amarillo, TX (August 22, 2019) – On August 21, at approximately 10:45 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident in the 800 block of East Amarillo Boulevard.

According to reports, 42-year-old Melissa Ann Brown was crossing the southbound side of Amarillo Boulevard when she was struck by a white SUV. The driver of the SUV fled the scene without stopping to render air.

Brown was transported to an area hospital for treatment but later succumbed to her injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
