Houston, TX – UPDATE: Matthew Leger ID’d As Metro Bus Crash Victim

Houston, TX (August 26, 2019) – On August 22, at approximately 11 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident at the Bellaire Transit Center located on Bellaire Boulevard near the intersection of South Rice Avenue.

According to reports, the driver of a Bellaire Metro Bus lost control of their vehicle and crashed into two pedestrians along the roadway.

One pedestrian, who was later identified as 35-year-old Matthew Leger, was airlifted from the scene of the incident to Memorial Hermann for treatment of serious injuries. The second pedestrian was injured and transported via ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
