Archer County, TX – Crash on Highway 281 Results in Fatal Injuries

Archer County, TX (August 27, 2019) – On August 27, a collision on Highway 281 claimed the life of one victim.

Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety confirm that the driver of an SUV lost control of her vehicle while traveling north along Highway 281.

As a result, the 2015 SUV collided head-on with a 2009 4-door sedan traveling south along the highway.

The driver of the SUV was transported to an area hospital for treatment to her injuries.

Unfortunately, the driver of the car, who was identified as 78-year-old Jackie Horton Parker, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
