Weslaco, TX – Fernando Martinez Ochoa Killed In US 77 Crash
Weslaco, TX (August 27, 2019) – On August 26, just after 1 p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on US Highway 77.
Reports from DPS indicate that 57-year-old Fernando Martinez Ochoa was traveling south along US Highway 77 in a 2007 Ford F-150 when his vehicle collided with a 2020 Freightliner semi-trailer, which was heading north along the highway.
The impact of the collision caused Martinez Ochoa to sustain fatal injuries. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and pronounced him deceased.
The driver of the Freightliner was uninjured.
At this time, the Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the collision.
