Wylie, TX – 10-Year-Old Injured in Bike Crash on S Ballard Ave

Wylie, TX (August 28, 2019) – On August 28, at approximately 7:45 a.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident outside Harrison Intermediate School.

According to reports, a 10-year-old child was crossing South Ballard Avenue to get to school on a bicycle, in a designated crossing area, when he was struck by a motor vehicle leaving the parking lot.

The child was injured in the collision and transported via Wylie EMS to an area hospital for treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation. The driver was cited for their actions.
