Austin, TX – Bicyclist, Anthony W. Washington, Killed in Ben White Blvd Crash
Austin, TX (August 29, 2019) – A bicyclist was fatally injured in a collision on Ben White Boulevard near Interstate Highway 35.
According to reports from the Austin Police Department, at approximately 1 p.m. on August 23, 36-year-old Anthony Wayne Washington was traveling through the intersection of Ben White Boulevard and Interstate Highway 35 on a bicycle.
While passing through the southbound side of the interstate, Washington’s bicycle was struck by a 2017 Chevrolet Cruz, which was in the far left lane of Interstate 35.
Washington incurred serious injuries and was transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving.
At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
