Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accidents in Texas
In 2015, statistics indicate that approximately 178,000 children were hit and injured by vehicles throughout the United States. Studies also show that over half of all hit-and-run accidents that occur nationwide involve pedestrians. Sadly, drivers flee the scene when they have a criminal record, are in a stolen vehicle, under the influence, or just fear the consequences of their actions. Drivers who do not stay at the scene are liable to face major charges for fleeing the scene of an accident that they caused.
