Houston, TX – Carlos Gonzalez Killed in Crash on the Katy Freeway

Houston, TX (September 2, 2019) – On Saturday, August 31, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 21900 block of the Katy Freeway just before 6:30 p.m.

According to reports, 18-year-old Lucero Gonzalez was traveling down the freeway in a 1996 tan Nissan Pathfinder when it collided with a gray SUV. The impact of the collision caused the Nissan to collide with a Toyota Rav4 and continue down the roadway until it collided with a concrete barrier.

The impact of the collision caused the passenger in the SUV, 20-year-old Carlos Gonzalez, to be ejected. Gonzalez incurred extensive injuries and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
