Austin, TX – Felipe Ramirez Killed In Metric Blvd Crash

Austin, TX (September 3, 2019) – On September 1, emergency crews responded to a fatal accident in the 9200 block of Metric Boulevard.

Reports from the Austin Police Department indicate that just after 5:15 a.m., 25-year-old Felipe Ramirez was traveling north on Metric Boulevard. As Ramirez approached the 9200 block of the roadway, he was struck head-on by a wrong-way driver.

The driver of the vehicle, which was a 2018 black Toyota Camry, was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. The driver, Dionnet Suarez De La Cruz, was subsequently arrested and charged for his actions.

Ramirez incurred fatal injuries in the collision as was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
