Amarillo, TX – Construction Worker Injured in I-40 Crash
Amarillo, TX (September 4, 2019) – A construction worker was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after an accident on Interstate 40.
On September 4, emergency crews responded to the scene of an accident on the westbound side of Interstate 40 just after 11:30 a.m.
According to reports, a 39-year-old construction worker was working on guardrails along the westbound side of the interstate when he was struck by a motor vehicle.
The construction worker sustained serious and life-threatening injuries. The victim was rushed to an area hospital for medical treatment.
At this time, the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department is investigating the incident.
