Houston, TX – S Loop W Crash Claims the Life of Pedestrian
Houston, TX (September 4, 2019) – A man lost his life after a pedestrian accident on the South Loop West.
According to reports, around 7:20 p.m. on September 3, a 55-year-old man was changing a tire near the split between the entrance ramp for State Highway 288 and South Loop West.
The driver of a truck traveling down the roadway failed to maintain a single lane and struck the man’s stopped vehicle. The man, who was standing outside of the vehicle, was also struck by the truck.
The injured man was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident and subsequently arrested.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
