Smith, TX – Callie Birdsong ID’d As Victim of Hwy 64 Crash

Smith, TX (September 6, 2019) – On September 4, around 5:20 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Highway 64.

According to reports, Ryan Curbo was traveling along Highway 64 near County Road 294 in a 2016 Ford Fusion when he crossed over the center lines and struck a 2012 Kia driven by Lonesha McCoy head-on. After the initial collision, Curbo’s vehicle then struck a 2015 Jeep, which was driven by 25-year-old Callie Birdsong.

Birdsong incurred serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment immediately following the collision.

Curbo was subsequently arrested for intoxication assault and various other charges.

At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
