Jersey Village, TX – Wreck & Vehicle Fire Causes Injuries at Jones Rd

Jersey Village, TX (September 8, 2019) – A serious accident and vehicle fire resulted in injuries in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 7.

Law enforcement officers, who responded to the wreck around 3:30 a.m., said that at least two vehicles collided along the roadway on Jones Road at northwest US 290, also called the Sam Houston Tollway. Both were traveling in the westbound lanes when the crash occurred. Shortly after the vehicles collided, one of the cars caught fire. First responders were on the scene to assist the injured victims and were able to extinguish the fire, though the fire closed the right three lanes of traffic.

The crash was cleared, but the wreck is still under investigation by authorities, who have not released the drivers’ information at this time.
