Channelview, TX (September 10, 2019) – At approximately 9:30 a.m. on September 10, emergency crews responded to the scene of a workplace accident in the 15000 block of Market Street.

According to reports, a fire broke out at a commercial building in the area for unknown reasons. The fire caused a blast to occur, which caused one worker to sustain injuries.

The injured worker was transported to Memorial Herman Hospital with serious burn injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
