Robinson, TX – *UPDATE* Victim of Highway 77 Crash ID’d as Michael Nelson
Robinson, TX (September 10, 2019) – On September 10, at approximately 6:40 a.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US 77 near Farm to Market Road 2643.
According to reports, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to a head-on collision in the 4600 block of South Robinson Dr. (US 77).
The impact of the collision caused the Freightliner involved to go off the roadway and roll over before bursting into flames.
The driver of the Freightliner, who was later identified as 73-year-old Michael Nelson, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle was injured and transported to an area hospital.
At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
