San Benito, TX – Crash on FM Rd 510 Results in Fatality

San Benito, TX (September 11, 2019) – At approximately 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 510.

According to reports, a 2001 Lincoln Navigator was traveling west along Farm to Market Road 510 when it collided head-on with a white 2008 Toyota Corolla just west of Casey Road.

The occupants inside both vehicles were transported to Valley Baptist Medical Center for treatment.

One passenger inside the Toyota, who was identified as 57-year-old Hermelinda Villegas, later succumbed to her injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
