Rains County, TX – Names of Victims in State Highway 276 Crash Released

Rains County, TX (September 13, 2019) – On September 12, at approximately 12:12 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on State Highway 276.

According to reports, 32-year-old Eddy Clyde Yeley was traveling east on the highway in a 1999 Nissan Maxima when his vehicle collided head-on with a 2015 Ford F-150 driven by 29-year-old Richard Clayton.

Both Yeley and Clayton sustained fatal injuries in the collision and were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Another individual, 74-year-old Robert Michael Jones, who was a passenger in the Ford, was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, the collision remains under investigation.
