College Station, TX – Pedestrian Injured in Hit-And-Run Accident on Texas Ave

College Station, TX (September 14, 2019) A vehicle struck a pedestrian early in the morning on September 14th. The pedestrian was crossing at Texas Avenue and University Drive East when the vehicle struck the victim and sped off without stopping. The accident happened at around 2:00 a.m.

The victim sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. Reports reveal that the victim sustained multiple fractures and internal injuries, which required trauma surgery.

Crews shut down the intersection for seven hours as they investigated and cleared the scene.

The police went on a search for the driver responsible and found him in the parking lot of the Tejas Center in Bryan. He tried to run at first, but the police eventually caught and arrested him. He has been identified as 17-year-old Pedro Damion Puga. Puga admitted to taking Xanax and cocaine earlier in the evening. The police also noticed he was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
