El Paso, TX – Maria Margarita Garcia Killed in Alameda Ave Pedestrian Crash
El Paso, TX (September 16, 2019) – On September 15, emergency crews responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Alameda St just before 4 p.m.
According to reports, 70-year-old Maria Margarita Garcia was attempting to cross Alameda St near Ysleta Ln when she was struck by a motor vehicle. Reports indicate that the driver of the pickup truck, 75-year-old Israel Garcia Montez, was making a left turn onto the roadway when he struck Ms. Garcia.
Maria Margarita Garcia sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Mr. Montez remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
